By the end of the year, a fresh stablecoin, FIUSD, is set to be integrated into Fiserv’s digital asset trading platform.
With the aim of creating new products and services, the financial technology powerhouse intends to enrich its client network by incorporating the FIUSD stablecoin. The launch of FIUSD is anticipated by Fiserv to occur before the conclusion of 2025.
The inclusion of the platform and the stablecoin, FIUSD, into the banking and payment systems currently in place is projected by the company to be finalized before this year’s end. By integrating FIUSD across its network, which boasts around 10,000 financial institutions and 6 million merchant points, Fiserv seeks to provide instant scalability and establish a digital asset ecosystem that clients can leverage for innovation.
With its “scale, reach, and technology leadership,” COO Takis Georgakopoulos emphasized Fiserv’s unique capacity to propel payments driven by stablecoins and broaden the availability of financial services.
Designed specifically to support financial institutions, Fiserv’s FIUSD simplifies the access to stablecoins through a secure and expansive framework, as highlighted by Sunil Sachdev, the Head of Embedded Finance at Fiserv.
Despite a 3% increase today, the shares of Fiserv have experienced a decline of nearly 20% during 2025.
